Ecologic at the UN Climate Conference in Poznan
The UN Climate Conference in Poznan, Poland, from 1 to 12 December 2008 was an important stepping stone in the negotiations on the future international climate regime that are set to conclude in Copenhagen in 2009. Ecologic was represented by Dr. Ralph Czarnecki participating as part of the German delegation and Ecologic Director R. Andreas Kraemer chairing a side event.
Ecologic Legal at the international climate negotiations in Bonn 2008
UN climate negotiations proceeded in Bonn from 2 to 13 June 2008. A broad range of topics were discussed, but one attracted particular attention: the UN climate protection regime post 2012. Dr. Camilla Bausch, Dr. Ralph Czarnecki and Dr. Sebastian Oberthür participated as members of the German delegation and worked on the legal and institutional issues related inter alia to the future regime.
Ecologic Legal at the Climate Conference in Bali
The UN Climate Conference, held from 2 to 15 December 2007 in Bali, Indonesia, was followed with great interest by a global audience. The conference laid the foundation for negotiations on a comprehensive global climate protection regime post 2012. Ecologic was present at the conference through Dr. Sebastian Oberthür, Senior Associate, Dr. Camilla Bausch, Senior Fellow and Head of Climate and Energy, as well as Michael Mehling, Fellow and Director of Ecologic Washington.
Ecologic Legal at the UNECE negotiations on the PRTR Protocol
The signatories of the UNECE Protocol on Pollutant Release and Transfer Registers met in Geneva from 22-24 October 2007 to prepare for the entry into force of the Protocol and to negotiate decisions. Dr. Ralph Czarnecki, Senior Fellow at Ecologic Legal, participated and advised the German delegation.
Ecologic Legal at the international climate negotiations in Bonn
International climate negotiations were held from 7-18 May in Bonn, Germany. The meeting was especially important due to the negotiations for a post-2012 climate regime. Ecologic supported the German Delegation with Dr. Camilla Bausch, Senior Fellow, Ecologic Legal.
Ecologic at the international climate summit in Nairobi, Kenya
The 12th International Climate Conference (COP 12) under the Climate Framework Convention (UNFCCC) took place in Nairobi, Kenya on 6-17 November 2006. The conference coincided with the second meeting of the parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP 2). Dr. Sebastian Oberthür, Senior Associate at Ecologic, and Dr. Camilla Bausch, Senior Fellow, Ecologic Legal, attended in support of the German delegation.
Ecologic at the International Climate Conference in Montreal, Canada
The 11th conference of the parties (COP 11) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) took place in Montreal between 28 November and 9 December 2005. The conference simultaneously served as the first Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (KP) after its entry into force in early 2005 (COP/MOP 1). Ecologic, represented by Dr. Sebastian Oberthür, Senior Associate, and Dr. Camilla Bausch, Senior Fellow, Ecologic Legal attended and supported the German delegation.
